Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and excellent communicator to join our Construction team. The Construction Project Manager will gain responsibility for the management of the construction process from inception to completion. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively and collaborate in a positive and professional manner with all relevant stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Developing feasibilities with engineers, architects and M&E consultants to ensure designs comply with the latest building regulations and Lidl specifications
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions and ensure that company processes and procedures are followed
  • Creating and presenting strategic projects using Powerpoint for approval
  • Appointing, managing and coordination of all contractors, consultants and suppliers involved in the construction development process
  • Preparing and taking ownership of development budgets for new stores across the various stages
  • Providing concise and logical project reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Attending and chairing project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects or tasks continue apace
  • Ability to break down technical matters and explain the outcomes in a clear and logical manner with the support of the Senior Project Managers
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to realise best value through Value Engineering and explore the adoption of sustainability initiatives to support of ‘A Better Tomorrow’ CSR programme
  • Completion of additional tasks will also be required from time to time

What you'll need

  • Honours degree in either Building Services, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Construction
  • A keen knowledge and passion for the Construction industry and built environment
  • 1-3 years Construction related experience
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly detail-orientated with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general construction processes, contracts and other legal documents involved in construction / property development
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly Powerpoint and Excel
  • Ability to work well and collaborate within a team
  • Confident presentation style
  • Full drivers licence

Through our salary system, we ensure pay equality across all positions at Lidl

  • €49,500 rising to €63,000 after 3 years
  • 20 days holidays per annum rising to 25 days after two years
