Payroll Specialist

We are seeking for a part-time Payroll Specialist for a 12 months FTC contract role with Ergo. You will be responsible for the preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for our 500 employees and will be joining a dynamic and engaged People and Culture Team.
Part-time role: 20 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract: 12 months
Fully remote role: must be based in Ireland
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for our 500 employees.
- Checking, reviewing, and inputting of payroll data for accuracy, ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Liaising and managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers.
- Responsible for processing and reconciliation of employee pension payments
- Responsible for processing and reconciliation of employee Health Care BIK and payment to health care providers.
- Responsible for processing and reconciliation of bank transfers and funding to support payroll payments runs.
- Supporting managers and employees with payroll queries and managing outcomes.
- Completing registrations and audits for new hires and manage employee exits from a payroll perspective.
- Calculating and processing any intercompany payroll recharges.
- Calculating bonuses and allowances.
- Reporting on payroll expenses in compliance with the Enhance Reporting Requirements.
- Ensuring salaries and tax withholdings comply with regulations.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
- Supporting payroll projects as required.
Education, Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of an Accounting Technician or Payroll Association (IPASS) or equivalent qualification.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field is desirable.
- 2-3 years payroll experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
- Strong knowledge in Irish Income Tax.
- Customer service experience and focus on excellence.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience with international payroll is a plus but not essential.
