Tour company, Civitatis, are looking to send one lucky participant across Europe to review Christmas markets and winter festivities and in Budapest, Prague, Vienna and Bratislava with all accommodation and transfers provided throughout. The chosen candidate will also receive €200 for their time!

The Role

The Christmas Market Tester will be responsible for visiting a selection of Christmas markets across Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest to provide a first-hand review of each market’s festive offerings, in order to support Civitatis in best developing their Christmas tour offering. The role begins with arrival into Prague on 16th of December 2019. The following day, the Christmas Market Tester will visit the delightful Christmas market in Prague’s Old Town Square, before heading onwards to Vienna. That evening the Christmas Market Tester will head to the beautiful Belvedere Palace Christmas Market in Vienna, situated against the striking background of the baroque palace as it lights up the night.

The next morning, the successful candidate will head on to the charming Rathausplatz Christmas Market, the biggest market in Vienna, before heading on to Bratislava to visit the Slovakian capital’s Old Town Square Christmas Market. The quaint traditional market boasts over 100 stalls, selling Slovak handicrafts, local delicacies and sweet treats. The following morning the Christmas Market Tester will travel onwards to Budapest visiting both the Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival in Vörösmarty Square, and the wonderful Budapest Basilica Christmas Market, next to St Stephen’s Basilica. Following visits to each of these markets, the Christmas Market Tester will provide a review of each market to Civitatis to provide useful product development knowledge to the team, as well as curating an Instagram post for each for Civitatis' social media.

The successful candidate will take a five-day tour of European Christmas Markets with free accommodation and transfers included throughout. The opportunity includes:

– Budapest Christmas Fair and Winter Festival.

– Budapest Basilica Christmas Market.

– And €200 for your time and insight.

The offer also includes accommodation in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest as well as Train/bus transfer between the various cities.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who eats, sleeps and breathes Christmas cheer. We want the successful candidate to bring their festive spirit and enthusiasm to fully explore everything that Europe’s fabulous Christmas markets have to offer, and report back to us on the best way in which we can continue to provide Christmas market tours to our customers.

The successful candidate will need to be analytical with an eye for detail, and be able to provide us with a comprehensive review of what each market entailed and what they enjoyed most and least in each destination.

We want someone full of energy and enthusiasm, who isn’t afraid to throw themselves into new experiences and soak up new cultures.

The successful candidate must be able to travel on 16th - 20th December 2019.
