We are currently seeking a highly motivated Communications Lead to join our team.
Contract Type: Fixed Term 12-month Contract.
Contract Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Salary Scale: The current salary scale for this post is €54,122 – €70,971 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments).
Overview of the Post: The Communications Lead post primary purpose is to support the Service Improvement Lead on implementation of the: -
Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be the central contact point and lead coordinator for all requests for information to National Children’s Disabilities, including but not limited to press queries, parliamentary questions, representations, activity reports and information requests from the public.
- Assist with a range of communication and engagement projects and initiatives for National Children’s Disabilities in line with the National Communication Plan (Roadmap Action 4.2).
- Take the lead in managing relevant business projects as assigned.
- Design, co-ordinate, test, oversee and maintain the production and quality of communications material for Children’s Disabilities Services for use at local (CDNTs), Regional and National levels as detailed in the Plan, working closely with the Roadmap’s Working Group 4 on Communication and Engagement colleagues.
- Promote and maintain a customer focused environment by ensuring service users are treated with dignity and respect.
- Promote and participate in the implementation and management of change in service delivery and improvement.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures and ensure consistent adherence to procedures and current standards within area of responsibility.
The successful candidate will have significant experience working in a communications/public relations role.
Key Essential Criteria:
A minimum of 5 years’ work experience with one of more of the following elements: media relations, corporate communications, public relations, public information materials or campaigns, or digital content.
And
A relevant 3rd level qualification in a discipline relevant to the post.
Desirable Criteria:
A professional qualification in the area of public relations/media relations.
