Early Years Manager

Little Scholars Montessori is looking for an Early Years Manager to join our team for August/September 2022.

Located within a primary school (September start date)

We are a small sessional service that caters for 22 children.

We have successfully run for over a decade now and are located within a local primary school. We open from 8.45am-11.45am daily.

We are offering a part-time morning position of 20 hours per week -17.5 hours in the classroom (teaching) and 2.5 hours managerial administration duties.

Roles & Responsibilities;

- To lead a classroom of 22 children and one teacher.

- To be the mandated person within the preschool.

- Ensure the safety, security and well being of all children in your care.

- To try and solve and child / staff problems initially and if need be liaise with the Owner. However,

all major issue should be reported back to the Owner.

- To guide, observe and supervise Little Scholars staff.

- To be the main point of contact for parents.

- To fulfill all managerial administration duties.

- To liaise with early year stakeholders, as required, such as Pobal, Tusla, DCYA, ECI etc

The ideal candidate will have;

- Minimum Fetac Level 6- Supervision in Childcare/Early Childhood Care and Education.

- 1 years Experience in a similar role.

- Familiarity with Hive, Inspections and a good understanding of early years managerial administration duties.

- Good delegation skills.

- A good understanding of all relative guidelines and regulations under Aistear, Siolta and the Childcare Regulations.

-Montessori Teaching diploma, First Aid, Manual Handling and Child protection (all desirable but not essential).
