Aircraft Engine Mechanic

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Engine Mechanic will provide the following services to the customer;

  • On- wing repairs - Repairs with the engine mounted on the aircraft.
  • On-site repairs – In cases where a disassembly of the engine from the wing is required, mobile repairs are offered directly at the customer’s facility.
  • Repair Station – More complex repairs, can be performed at one of the MES repair stations
  • General Responsibilities:

    •   Disassemble, inspect and assemble aircraft jet engines
    •   Remove and install aircraft jet engine components and modules
    •   Inspect, clean, repair, replace & modify aircraft jet engine components highest standard of quality within world class turnaround times
    •   Ensure the highest level of workmanship is delivered and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
    •   Perform troubleshooting and investigations on technical issues
    •   Perform all required recording of tasks and findings
    •   Perform the above tasks at the repair station in Dublin, MES network repair station and at the customer’s locations
    •   Sign off specific tasks, such as but not limited to NDT, electrical work, dual sign off, etc.
    •   Acting as a team leader for a group of engine mechanics during on-site events

    Person Specification:

    • Qualified Aircraft Engine Mechanic
    • Previous experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment
    • You should be pro-active and eager to learn and take on responsibility
    • Attention to detail and a high level of manual dexterity are essential
    • Ability to work as part of a team and get along well with other team members
    • Problem-solving ability in a rapidly changing environment
    • Committed to company values and ethics
    • Ambitious, motivated, energetic, enthusiastic self-starter who can work on their own initiative. 
    • Willingness to travel as per business requirement
    • Must have own transport

    Salary: DOE
