The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) is seeking to appoint an Events Coordinator to join our Events Team to deliver our popular conferences and webinars for our doctors and other healthcare professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us to deliver a blend of online, hybrid and in person events, including conferring's, at our historic home on No 6 Kildare Street. The successful candidate will work closely with the Deans of our Faculties and Institutes and external stakeholders to support the delivery of their events and to work within our existing and new events platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

The Event Coordinator be responsible for the following but are not limited to.

  • Work within a busy team to support the development and management of our events that include online webinars and conferences
  • Use our online systems including cloud-based platforms such as Zoom and Cvent to setup education events, and our website rcpi.ie to promote bookings.
  • Liaise with the Deans of our Faculties and Institutes and other doctors to agree programme of events for the year that are tailored to their audiences.
  • Oversee the logistics and the execution of the webinars & hybrid conferences before, during and post event including:
  • Liaise and manage communication with speakers for events and to support these events as they go live.
  • Review and edit video recordings for virtual events and conferring's.
Requirements

The successful applicant will have strong IT/Event management systems (Cvent ideally) experience and each of the following:

  • Excellent ICT skills with the capacity to use technology to increase efficiencies in processes to deliver online, hybrid and in-person events.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience of working in a team delivering successful events in the education, health or other sectors.
  • Excellent administration, organisational and inter-personal skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team.
  • Proven track record of achieving business goals.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
