Corby Steel Fabrications supports clients across a diverse array of manufacturing sectors including food and beverages, Bottling and Glass, Building Products, Electrical Transformer, Construction, Engineering, Waste Management, Packaging and Plastic.

Our team is 100% dedicated to fulfilling client’s satisfaction, whilst completing work without disrupting production and day-to-day running of a plant, in a safe work environment for both Corby and client personnel.

We now require a Foreman to join our team in Newtowngore, Co. Leitrim

Duties Summary/Responsibilities:

• Oversee fabrication employees and their assigned duties
• Coordination and monitoring of all work activities, fabrication progress and resources to meet production schedules
• Ensure all work is done within established quality standards, safety protocol, and job specifications
• Conduct regular inspections of the work (practices/methods)
• Provide new-employee orientations and inform, train and promote safe work methods and environment
• Investigates all incidents which occurred in your section and complete appropriate reports
• Responsible for timekeeping of group
• Responsible for ensuring that safety rules and regulations are respected
• Any other related duties, as required and/or special projects as needed

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Experienced Metal Fabricator with an Engineering background
• Prior management or supervisory experience in the steel industry
• Effectively plan, organize and prioritize work duties in a fast-paced environment
• Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting detailed drawings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
