Fresh Food Manager

Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store`s fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively and provide our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times.

The ideal candidate will have/be:
- 2 years` experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable
- 1 years` experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Good delegation skills
• An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
• Passion for fresh food.

Main duties:
• Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative
• Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating the workload appropriately
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with Store Manager
• Control stocktaking and overheads as per fresh budget
• Foster good working relationships among the team
• Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
• Manage employee performance, giving regular feedback, recognition and encouragement
• Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy
• Manage employee rostering and annual leave for fresh departments
• Ensure merchandising and presentation of the fresh department is of the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines.
