General Operative / Manufacturing Assistant

We are seeking a versatile and reliable General Operative / Manufacturing Assistant.

We are an ambitious craft company who are passionate about handmade Irish products. Operating from a shared creative hub in Cork City, we design, make, and distribute framed art prints, and have plans for extended growth.

Hours of Work:

36.5 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday 9 - 5pm
  • Friday 9 - 4pm

Salary: €15.20 Per Hour

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manufacturing Assistance: Assembling framed art prints according to instruction and quality control specifications.
  • Quality Control: ensuring all finished products meet our standards before dispatch.
  • Goods In/Out: handling and transporting materials, components, and finished products within the production area. This involves lifting and carrying boxes approx. 10kg. Manual handling training will be provided.
  • Packaging: carefully packaging finished products for dispatch.
  • Delivery: daily delivery of orders to dispatch depot, and occasional delivery of orders/display stands to stockists.
  • Data Input: Updating systems in relation to status of components/orders.
  • Communication: liaising with manager and colleagues on the day-to-day workflow and planned goods in/out.
  • Teamwork: Working closely with other team members to ensure smooth production processes. This will involve following direction from your manager and directing colleagues on workflow, as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining records of production quantities, quality checks, and other relevant information as required in the business.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Flexibility: Being adaptable and willing to take on different tasks and responsibilities as needed in the business.

Requirements:

  • Great attention to detail.
  • Organisational Skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative while also being able to contribute positively as part of a team.
  • Computer literate
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Full driver’s license
  • Available to start within 2 weeks of job offer
