The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is a major voluntary organisation, which provides age related residential, educational and day services for adults with intellectual disabilities throughout the Cork area. We also provide services for children and young adults across Cork and Kerry with complex needs- Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team.

JOB SUMMARY
These permanent posts arein Network 13Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon, which is based in Carrigaline Primary Care centre. The successful candidate will have a caseload in the Carrigaline/Kinsale and Bandon area and will be expected to drive to these areas.
The successful candidates will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young people, 0-18yrs and their families.
The criteria for CDNT is children with complex needs arising from a disability, who require the support of an interdisciplinary disability team. This might include children with intellectual, physical, sensory disability, Autism and children with a complex developmental delay.
This team is under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate/s will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members.
The Therapist will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the children and their family and the objectives of the organisation. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high quality Occupational Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required.
The Candidate:
Salary Scale: €44,122 - €63,154 per annum (1/3/25 Department of Health Consolidated Scales). Pro-rata if working part-time hours.
Reporting to: Children’s Disability Network Manager. The Head of Discipline will provide clinical supervision.
