Established in 1973, with headquarters in Cork and 50+ office locations nationwide, we offer a range of Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Agri-Consultancy, Financial and Business Advisory to a diversified portfolio of 30,000+ clients. 

We are seeking to hire a Part-Qualified/Qualified Accountant in our Waterford City office.

Full time hours: 37.5 hrs per week (in office work only). Working hours are Monday- Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am-2pm. Full time/part time role open to discussion for the right candidate.

Responsibilities: 

  • Management of multiple jobs ensuring the key objectives are delivered as required and in a timely manner 
  • Experience of preparing and/or reviewing of VAT, PAYE, income tax & corporation tax returns. 
  • Liaise with clients on queries relating to Revenue requirements, Companies Registration Office (CRO) filings, and Irish GAAP/FRS 102/FRS 105
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Compliance with Irish tax legislation, filing deadlines, and regulatory standards.
  • The use of BRIGHT Accounts Production , AUTOENTRY ,SAGE

Candidate Profile: 

  • Resident of Ireland
  • 2 to 3 years experience in Irish Accounting practice (Essential)
  • Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with clients on your portfolio
  • Self-motivation and capability of working on your own initiative 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills 
  • Committed to obtaining a professional qualification 
  • Be a natural team player, comfortable working closely in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks and focus on meeting deadlines
  • Experience of working on audit assignments desirable
