Psychology Assistant
(Temporary/Panel/Full-time)
The Department of Psychology provides a range of clinical services including psychological assessment, psychotherapy, behavioural and other clinical and educational interventions to the service users and their families/carers. The Psychology Assistant will support the work of the Clinical Psychology and rehabilitation teams in providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation services to persons served by the NRH.
Essential:
The candidate must, at the time of application, be in a position to start this post immediately and must possess:
· A degree at Honours Level in which Psychology was the primary subject.
Desirable:
It is desirable that the candidate has had the opportunity to have some experience in the following:
- Working within a clinical or academic environment where there was an opportunity to work with a clinical population.
- Working with other Health Care Professionals.
- Working with a Clinical Psychologist.
- Undertaking psychological tests and data collection under supervision.
- Delivering brief psychological interventions under supervision.
- Contributed to research or audit outside of undergraduate requirements.
- Facilitating and support departmental coordination, tasks and activities.
- Have undertaken additional postgraduate education or training inclusive of relevant clinical or research skills.

Interviews are scheduled to take place in person during the week commencing Monday, 5th Januray 2026.
A panel for Temporary Psychology Assistant(part-time and full-time posts) may be formed from those interviewed for any positions which may arise within the Psychology Department within the 12 months following interview. Please note that applications for this Assistant Psychologist position will be capped at 80 submissions. Once this limit is reached, the application portal will close, and you may not be included in the shortlisting process if your application is submitted after the cap.
