Quality Assurance Officer, Corrib Research Centre & Core Lab, Grade Specific Purpose Contract, FTE

Applications are invited for an appointment as Quality Assurance Officer at CORRIB Research Centre & Core Lab, NUI Galway. 

The CORRIB research centres’ main focus is applied clinical translational research and the unit is a centre of excellence for cardiovascular clinical research and imaging techniques. 

The purpose of this role is to lead the quality assurance processes required to verify that the rights and well-being of trial participants are protected and that the integrity of the trial data is upheld. The role will be working within a highly qualified team to ensure quality assurance vendor qualifications in the running of Clinical Research Trials in the CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core laboratory. They will provide Quality Assurance and Computer System Validation (CSV) expertise to the CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core laboratory. The is achieved by maintaining the following key processes/areas: Quality system processes, Regulatory compliance, Document Control, Training, CAPA management, vendor qualifications and Computer System Validation Processes for the unit.

The post-holder will report directly to the CORRIB Core Lab Directors, working closely with the Clinical Trials Programme Manager and Clinical Operations Lead. The role has dotted line QA reporting to Clinical Research and Development Office (CRDO). 

This is a part time role (0.6 FTE). Flexible working hours to fulfil the contract hours and the option for remote working will be considered for this role.

Salary:

€53,255 to €72,197 p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)

(This appointment will be made on the Grade 5 scale in line with current Government pay policy)
