Location: Children Disability Network 13 (Carrigaline / Kinsale / Bandon, Co. Cork) with bases in Carrigaline and Bandon, Co. Cork.

Under the National programme for Progressing Disability Services for children (PDS), children’s disability network teams were formed nationwide. In Cork and Kerry there is a partnership arrangement to develop these teams between the HSE and agencies currently delivering services for children with disabilities (COPE, St. Joseph’s, Co-action, Brothers of Charity, Enable Ireland).
JOB SUMMARY
The person/s appointed to this post will work as part of inter-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to children/young people from 0-18 years across all disabilities which includes intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities sensory/motor disabilities and Autism.
This post is in Network 13: Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon Children’s Disability Network Team (CKB CDNT), working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young people, 0-18yrs and their families. The criteria for CNDT is children with complex needs arising from a disability, where those needs require the support of an interdisciplinary disability team. This might include children with intellectual, physical, sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon team is based in Carrigaline and Bandon.Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team.
The Social Worker will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation and CKB CDNT. The Social Workers will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service and will carry out Social Work duties as required. She/he will be required to work as a key contact for particular cases as well as be part of IFSPs.
The Candidate:
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Salary Scale: €50,120 - €72,356 per annum including 1 LSI (Consolidated Salary Scales 1/8/25)
