Purpose of the Role The post holder will work within the National Paediatric Psycho-Oncology Service within the National Children Cancer Service (NCCS) providing a service to children and adolescents with cancer and their families. This service is led by a Principal Psychologist and it was launched by the minister of health in 2023 together with the CAYA Psycho-Oncology Model of care. The post holder will work directly with children and adolescents with cancer (Malignant Haematology and Oncology). Many patients will be attending long term from infancy to adolescence and the post holder will need to be able to support children across the life span, focusing on supporting both patients and families through cancer diagnosis and treatment (including end of treatment, relapse, palliation and end of life). A key role of the post holder will be to ensure that psychological factors are taken into account in the children’s and adolescents’ medical assessment and treatment. Essential Criteria:

Clinical Nurse Manager, University Hospital
Kerry General Hospital is the second largest of the Health Service Executive –South’s seven acute hospitals. The hospital provides acute general hospital services to the population of Co. Kerry (180,554) and additionally to a proportion of the populations of West Limerick and North Cork. The CAMHS ID service was established in HSE Dublin South East & Wicklow Healthcare Area in 2020 and delivers out-patient appointments to children with a moderate to profound intellectual disability who have a moderate to severe mental disorder from the CAMHS ID building on Clonskeagh Hospital Campus and to provide outreach services to a Wicklow Clinic. The HSE CAMHS ID service in Dublin South East & Wicklow covers a large geographical catchment area of 422, 000 from Carnew in Wicklow to Baggot Street in South Dublin. This is an initial 1 year Temporary appointment to HSE Dublin South East & Wicklow Healthcare Area (Mental Health Services) on a Public Only Consultant Contract 2023 by the Health Service Executive. The initial commitment for this post will be to HSE Dublin South East & Wicklow Mental Health Services for 37 hours per week. This post may be subject to restructuring in the future to facilitate the reorganization of acute services in line with new clinical models of acute and community services. Senior Library Assistant
Overall Role and Context SETU is seeking a Senior Library Assistant, Grade V . The successful candidate will undertake key duties in the Library as outlined below. As a member of the library rostering team, the post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends to provide cover during library opening hours. The successful candidate may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in a university library, in any of its campuses. The job will involve regular contact with students, staff, the public, and organisations and individuals at all levels, where discretion, tact, courtesy, and judgement will have to be constantly exercised. All jobs in the Library demand a good knowledge and skill in the use of Information and Communication Technologies, and appointees will be expected to use new techniques and technologies as they arise. SETU will provide the necessary training as appropriate. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Senior Library Assistant will be responsible for overseeing and implementing library developments. As a member of the library rostering team, the post holder will be required to work evenings and weekends to provide cover during library opening hours. The Senior Library Assistant may be assigned to any of a very wide range of areas or activities carried out in an Institute Library, in any of its campuses. Doherty Woodshavings Ltd is a leading animal bedding manufacturer and supplier with over 30 years’ experience in the agricultural industry. The company’s flagship bedding product brand is Sublime, formulated for dairy cows to inhibit the spread of mastitis-causing organisms and help to control the Somatic Cell Count (SCC) in milk, and enhance animal welfare. Other products supplied include Lasta wood pellets, poultry bedding including woodshavings and crumb, and cat litter. Doherty Woodshavings operates its business from two sites near Ballymena in Northern Ireland with distribution and stockists throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Doherty Woodshavings plans to grow its business by developing a new range of sustainable Sublime products specifically designed for various locations and environmental conditions encountered on dairy farms throughout Ireland and beyond. It also aims to develop an ‘in-house research, innovation, and advisory mini-lab’ to enhance the customer after-sales service. Doherty Woodshavings, in partnership with South West College, have secured a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) as a step to achieving these goals. The KTP Associate will be responsible for transfer of knowledge and technology between the South West College and Doherty Woodshavings by undertaking a 2-year research and innovation project. The project will involve assisting Doherty Woodshavings in research, laboratory testing, on-farm trialling and roll-out of the new bedding products that will provide improved animal comfort, animal health and environmental benefits over existing products on the market. The project will require detailed research and scientific testing of materials, ensuring the bedding products are sustainable and perform optimally under specific environmental conditions, and enhance both animal health and welfare. The associate will work closely with the project partners (Doherty Woodshavings and SWC) and will benefit from academic supervision from SWC.
