Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: Please see Job Description for full list The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: Eligible applicants must: · Have a university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject And · Have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology Or · An equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health. And · Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for. And · Applicants must have at least five years satisfactory post-graduate experience in the area of professional psychology, no more than three years of which was spent in gaining the postgraduate professional qualification and no less than two years full-time spent in post qualification experience as a professional psychologist. Years in excess of the permitted three years for completion of the post- graduate training or time not worked will not be taken into consideration when assessing the five years’ experience requirement. And · Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings, for the area / areas for which they wish to apply - Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology, Adult Psychology - either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist. Note 2 Or · Applicants with an educational psychology qualification must demonstrate that they have acquired in appropriate health settings for the area / areas for which they wish to apply - Child Disability, Child Psychology - either at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist. This job description is intended as a guide to the general range of duties and is intended to be neither definitive nor restrictive. RESPONSIBILITIES OF BUS/TAXI ESCORT • Must ensure that they are on the bus/taxi at time of first pick-up and last set down. • Are responsible for the safety of children when opening and closing doors prior to ‘stop’ and ‘move off.’ • Assisting children to board and alight safely from the school bus/taxi. • Making sure all children are seated with appropriate straps, harnesses where provided. • Ensure that each pupil is received by some responsible person at the set down point. DUTIES OF BUS/TAXIESCORT • Supervision of children travelling on bus/taxi • Maintain a good working relationship with the driver of the bus/taxi. • Act as liaison between Principal and/or Class Teacher and parents when required i.e., conveyance of messages and letter to parents. • Observe confidentiality in all aspects of work. • Be aware of particular disabilities of children in the bus/taxi and be briefed by the Principal on how to deal with same, e.g., epilepsy etc. • Perform any other duties relevant to the position of escort which may be assigned by the Principal from time to time. • Unless under exceptional circumstances, the escort should never leave the bus/taxi. • The escorts position on the bus/taxi should be where maximum control of children is achieved i.e., at back of bus/taxi. • Report all concerns to the Principal and/or Class Teacher. RATE OF PAY €15.50 per hour plus €1.24 holiday pay. Holiday pay is paid thrice yearly at Easter, in Summer and in December

Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is a performance music education service in Counties Cavan and Monaghan that provides opportunities for children and young people to access a range of high quality, subsidised vocal and instrumental tuition in their local area. Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is part of the national programme of Music Generation, which was Initiated by Music Network. Music Generation is co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Youth and Local Music Education Partnerships (LMEPs). Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan is managed locally by Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) and Monaghan and Cavan County Councils. CMETB, as lead partner for Music Generation Cavan/Monaghan, now wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experienced Musicians / Musician Educators to join its panel to deliver the following programmes: 1. Early Years Programme (ages 2-5) A responsive early years’ music-making programme that places creative exploration of meaningful music-making at its core. 2. Schools Programme (ages 5-18) A dynamic and inclusive musicianship programme, which will include the voice as the main instrument for primary schools. Instrumental provision features as part of our programme: this includes various genres of music for both primary & secondary schools 3. Community Music Programme (ages 7-18) A dynamic, multi-genre programme in hubs with structured weekly tuition on various instruments & genres building skills to enable ensemble opportunities for creating and performing. Music Technology programmes will also feature, to address young people’s needs. 4. Inclusive Programme (ages 5-18) An inclusive and progressive music-making programme for children and young people with additional educational needs-including Autism and Asperger’s. This programme will be delivered in schools and in community settings. Musicians / Musician Educators will work with children and young people in group contexts and may work on one or more programmes at any given time. Musician Educators may be required to deliver programmes in person and/or online, as required.
