Grounds Maintenance Supervisor
** Please read Recruitment Pack before completing your application form ** Main Purpose of Post/Job: The post holder has responsibility for the provision of maintenance of the Council’s parks, amenity areas and all outdoor sports facilities; the day to day service and seasonal works in all aspects of Grounds Maintenance. The post holder will laterally share responsibility with other Supervisors for delivery of all Maintenance services. Duration of Appointment: Permanent Salary : Scale SO2, SCP 28-30, currently £36,648 - £38,223 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked). It is Council's policy to appoint at minimum salary scale point. Hours of Work: Hours of work are: 36 hours per week. The post holder must be prepared to work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and Public and extra Statutory Holidays for which the appropriate payment will be made or time in lieu granted if relevant. Work Pattern: 36 hours Monday to Friday. Flexi Scheme: This post is not eligible to participate in the Flexi Scheme. Location and transferability: Location is Greenbank Depot, Newry. Whilst the current vacant post is based in Greenbank Depot, Newry, suitable candidates who are placed on a reserve list may be offered a similar post in other Council locations. The post holder may be required to transfer to other locations in accordance with any requirements stated in the Job Description, any reviews of service delivery or other requirements as may arise from time to time. District Registrar
**Please read the recruitment pack before completing your application** Job Summary The post holder will be responsible for the management of the District Registration Service based in Downpatrick and Newry and will be required to manage all functions and staff in both offices to ensure continuity of service throughout the district. This will include the provision of a confidential, compassionate and efficient Registration Service, including the management and administration of all registration functions and activities in accordance with statutory requirements, General Register Office (GRO) policies and procedures and Council guidelines pertaining to Registration duties, whilst ensuring resources are optimised fully. The post holder will also be accountable for the accurate and safe recording of all records and money. Hours of work 36 hours per week. MACS provides 24/7 supported housing for young people leaving care who are aged between 16 and 21. Young people can live with us for up to 2 years before moving into the community. Support Workers provide an accessible point of contact to promote the protection and safeguarding of young people living at MACS and help them to build skills and confidence to maintain their own homes.
