Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Special Class Teacher in An Cosán Community Special School under a Permanent Contract of Employment to take effect immediately, based in the Dublin 7 area. An Cosán Community Special School will provide for the needs of students with autism and complex needs with a professional recommendation for a special school, in addition to students with moderate general learning disability and complex needs, with a professional recommendation for a special school, from the beginning of Primary school up to eighteen years of age. An Cosán Community Special School is a child-centred, co-educational, multi-denominational, publicly accountable school which strives to provide high quality education for every child attending. The new school will cater for an enrolment of up to 24 students when it is established and, on a phased basis, is expected to grow its capacity to provide up to 60 school places in the short to medium term, pending a new permanent school building being provided. As per Department of Education regulations, students will leave school at the end of the school year in which they reach the age of 18 years. To facilitate this age band, the range of classes extend from primary to post primary. Class grouping swill be based on a combination of age, appropriate peer groupings and the needs of each child. The school operates within the regulations as outlined by the Rules for National Schools and relevant circulars and directives issued by the Primary / Special Education sections of the Department of Education. The school is funded by grants from the Department of Education. Staffing allocations are in line with those set out by the Department of Education. Under the direction of the Patron, the school will be managed on an interim basis by a Single Manager pending the appointment of a Board of Management. The Board of Management will be made up of representatives of the Patron, parents, school staff and the community. City of Dublin Education and Training Board (City of Dublin ETB) was established on 1st July 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Act, 2013. City of Dublin ETB has 3,000 employees and an annual budget of €580m. It is the state education and training authority for Dublin city and serves the area covered by Dublin City Council. Department of Education Early Retirement Scheme for Teachers Circular 102/2007 The Department of Education introduced an Early Retirement Scheme for Teachers. It is a condition of the Early Retirement Scheme that with the exception of the situations set out in paragraphs 10.2 and 10.3 of the relevant circular documentation, and with those exceptions only, if a teacher accepts early retirement under Strands 1, 2 or 3 of this scheme and is subsequently employed in any capacity in any area of the public sector, payment of pension to that person under the scheme will immediately cease. Pension payments will, however, be resumed on the ceasing of such employment or on the person's 60th birthday, whichever is the later, but on resumption, the pension will be based on the person's actual reckonable service as a teacher (i.e. the added years previously granted will not be taken into account in the calculation of the pension. Exclusions: Candidates should note that persons who have taken part in public service early retirement schemes including the following are not eligible to take part in this competition: Incentivised Scheme for Early Retirement (ISER): It is a condition of the Incentivised Scheme for Early Retirement (ISER) as set out in the Department of Finance Circular 12/09 that retirees, under that Scheme, are debarred from applying for another position in the same employment or the same sector. What is Risk Analytics? Risk Analytics are a group of professional quantitative analysts, operating within the wider Risk function in AIB, who provide quantitative risk & financial analysis and analytical expertise to business partners to help understand underlying risks in Credit portfolios. This covers a wide range of asset classes between Retail & Non-Retail borrowers, from the smallest personal customer to the largest international banks & governments.  This role is in the IRB (Internal Rating Based Approach) Model Development Team in Risk Analytics. They are responsible for the design and delivery of predictive credit risk measurement models relating to the Bank’s Pillar 1 capital PD, LGD and EAD models. These models are used to determine the level of risk associated with individual borrowers and drive the determination of the Bank’s regulatory capital requirements. The team is currently undertaking a multi-year redevelopment of all IRB models followed by the rollout of new IRB models, which represents a key strategic objective for the bank.
