DNCC, Inner City, Multidisciplinary Team Manager
The current vacancy available is part-time and temporary based on the North East Inner City Team in Summerhill Primary Care Centre, Dublin 1. HSE, in CHODNCC (DNC), has received funding for one year for a Multidisciplinary team for 0-5 year olds in Dublin’s North East Inner City, referred to as NEIC 0-5 MDT. The NEIC 0-5 MDT will provide a wrap-around service to the 0-5 age cohort in this area of significant disadvantage, collaborating with existing service providers, including primary care (PC) services, relevant Government departments, the school aged NEIC MDT, Early Learning Initiative (ELI), the Rotunda and CHI Temple St Hospitals, Meitheal, Tusla, Children’s Disability Network teams (CDNT), Young People At Risk (YPAR), homeless services and other organisations in the NEIC working with children & families. The model of service provision will use an Infant Mental Health paradigm and Trauma Informed Practice. The NEIC 0-5 MDT, through prevention and early intervention, will support parent-child atonement. This will maximise positive emotional development which will ameliorate environmental and neurological risk. Purpose of Position: This is a senior academic position within the Centre for Education and Lifelong Learning. The main responsibility of the post-holder will be to provide academic leadership to support the delivery and development of our initial teacher education programme for teaqching in the Further Education and Training (FET) sector and to contribute to the overall delivery and development of CELL education programmes. The post-holder will be programme director for NCI’s Post-Graduate Diploma in Educational Practice for Teaching in Further Education. As a member of the Centre’s academic team, the post-holder will also advance the development of college-wide Learning, Teaching and Assessment strategies and policy and practice in these areas. As such, the role involves occasional responsibilities in relation to the professional development of staff and faculty on the scholarship and practice of learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and participation on academic committees.
