Contract Type: This is a specified purpose contract. Contract Hours: Part Time Post, 37.5 hours per week. Salary Scale: €30,163 to €36,502 pro rata per annum. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2024 in accordance with the recent WRC interim agreement (Ref CAM -100101-22) towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations. Overview of the Post: The post holder will work as part of a team in Little Pals integrated preschool. The preschool is part of Enable Ireland services to children and families within the CHO6 area providing preschool, ECCE and CCS programmes in the preschool environment in compliance with Tusla Guidelines. Overview of Duties & Responsibilities: · To assist with the provision of therapy and preschool programmes to children attending Little Pals Preschool as requested. · To establish, provide and monitor children’s learning programmes. · To keep up to date records on interventions and progress provided to the children, as required by management. · To carry out therapy and postural management programmes, feeding programmes, toileting programmes, and summer programmes within the Pre-school as requested. · To participate in family meetings, team meetings and staff meetings. · To develop and maintain positive working relationships with parents and children. · As requested by the Preschool Leader, to liaise with parents in regards to their child’s progress. · To facilitate groups in the service supporting Enable Ireland service users and their families. · To ensure that children’s’ records and progress reports and are kept up to date and in line with GDPR regulations. · To maintain statistical records as required. · To provide administrative assistance to the Children’s Disability Network Teams as required. · To participate in meetings, in-service training, and other training of as required. · To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act by taking responsibility for the safety of staff, clients and others. · To comply with Enable Ireland policies and procedures. · Any other appropriate duties they may be assigned from time to time. The successful candidate will have: Essential Criteria: · Full FETAC Level 5 qualification in childcare, special needs or equivalent recognised qualification in childcare studies or social studies. · Minimum of 1 year recent, relevant experience working in a preschool setting. · Experience of carrying out preschool learning programmes. Desirable Criteria: · 1 year experience working with young children (0-5 years) with disabilities. · Experience of carrying out therapy programmes. · Experience working in an integrated setting.
