There are over 40 dietitians at the Mater Hospital. The dietitians work with inpatients and outpatients across all the Mater specialties including the National Centre for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart and Lung Transplantation, National Centre for Spinal Injuries, Adult National Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMD) and the National Centre for HIPEC surgery as well as being a Cancer Centre. This Senior Dietitian post in collaboration with the Clinical Specialist dietitian and other dietitians in the critical care team and MDT will provide high quality nutritional care to patients in the critical care service (Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit). We use NCP assessment and diagnosis steps in our work, and include physical assessment.
