Donncha & Sean’s first choc-ice

Our Story

In 2015 we set up a few Facebook pages that we ran purely on a voluntary basis to share positive news about employment and upskilling opportunities for people struggling to find work. We wanted to try and change the conversation that was happening online and show people it wasn’t all doom and gloom.

We wanted to build a community to support job seekers through their struggles and keep the country's spirits up; not allowing people to give up hope. We believe that a job is not just a paycheck. Jobs provide people with meaning in their lives. There’s a whole other side to having a job that doesn’t involve money.

Over time we were approached by companies asking if they could advertise their vacancies on our pages. A lot of them were struggling to pay the colossal fees being charged by other job boards.

We believe that posting a job should be affordable, especially for small business owners who need the most help. We also believe that the process needs to be as transparent as possible. With JobAlert.ie, what you see is what you get. No hidden costs, no hidden fees.

Our prices may be lower but that does not mean we sacrifice on the quality of our service. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to us. When you post a job with JobAlert.ie you can rest assured that we will do everything in our power to fill your vacancy. But don’t take our word for it, check out our customer testimonials.

If you have a worthy cause and you think we can help you out please contact us and we will do whatever we can.

Our Mission

Our mission is to fill vacancies with quality candidates as quickly and affordably for companies of all shapes and sizes. We also want to guarantee that anyone who wants a job, gets one!

We are particularly passionate about helping disadvantaged jobseekers. We try our best to get the word out on any news or information that we feel can help someone in need. From apprenticeships and traineeships to interview preparation and CV writing; we want to equip jobseekers with the information that can aid them in their job search.

Unlike other job boards, we don’t wait for jobseekers to come to us, we go to them. We use the power of social media to get directly in front of potential job seekers. With a community of over 285,000 social media followers, we can reach a massive audience. Our content takes on a life of its own as it gets liked, shared and commented on around the country.
