The OPW is offering training opportunities in the Craft of Carpentry and Joinery in the National Monuments Service.

The OPW is offering training opportunities in the Craft of Stonecutting and Stonemasonry in the National Monuments Service.

The duties of an apprentice Craft Stonecutter/Stonemason are widely varied. These include assisting in conservation and restoration on site, repairing and building stonework and building dry stone and mortar walls.

➡️ Apprenticeship in Construction Plant Fitting

The OPW is offering training opportunities in the Craft of Construction Plant Fitting in the Arterial Drainage Maintenance and Construction Services Division in Newtown, Trim Co. Meath.

The Craft of Construction Plant Fitting is varied and wide. These include carrying out fitting duties as required on OPW Mechanical Equipment, including Construction Plant and Equipment and Fixed Mechanical Installations as part of the maintenance and repair programme for the Arterial Drainage Maintenance and Construction operations.

➡️Apprenticeship in Brick and Stonelaying

The OPW is offering training opportunities in the Craft of Brick and Stonelaying in the National Monuments Service.

The duties and responsibilities of an apprentice in the Craft of Brick and Stonelaying are widely varied. These include assisting in conservation and restoration on site, repairing and building brickwork, building mortar walls, pointing, underpinning, flaunching/capping of walls, working with and mixing mortar, lime and cement.
