Job Title, Post 1: Apprentice - Leisure Attendant Key Purpose of the Post: To assist with the leisure services team within the Omagh Leisure Centre to carry out, as part of a team, a range of duties to provide a high-quality service to users. • Support the customer services team at all times, which includes providing information and guidance to the public. • Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to the required standard. This will include internal and external areas under the control of the facility. • Record and report incidents, accidents and ‘near misses’. • Assist in the preparation and operation of events and activities including the assembly and dismantling of equipment in a timely and safe manner. • To complete National Pool Lifeguard Qualification within the first 12 months of the apprenticeship. • Any other duties as required by the centre manager. Location: Omagh Leisure Complex Job Title, Post 2: Apprentice - Community Wellbeing Key Purpose of the Post: To support the community services team, helping to plan and deliver health and wellbeing projects, programmes, events, and activities across the Fermanagh and Omagh district area. • To support the delivery of key health and wellbeing initiatives to encourage participation across the district’s age spectrum. • To assist with the promotion of all service delivery through the use of social media. • Assist the community services team with the development and delivery of intervention programmes as required. • Evening and weekend shifts may be required to meet the needs of the community. Location: County Buildings, Enniskillen Job Title, Post 3: Apprentice - HGV Mechanic Key Purpose of the Post: To work in the vehicle maintenance garage in Killyvilly Depot, Enniskillen providing a range of maintenance services for all the Council’s vehicles, plant, equipment, and machinery. • Assist the Mechanics to carry out work of servicing, repair and maintenance of all the Council owned vehicles and items of plant and equipment including electrical/electronic work on specialist vehicles. • Assist the Mechanics to undertake inspections/servicing/MOT and PSV preparation and repairs to company vehicles, plant and equipment to VOSA Standards in a timely manner as set out by the Lead Mechanic/Fleet Manager. • Diagnosis of faults - electronic, electrical, mechanical or hydraulic. • Maintain service records and update the designated officer. Location: Killyvilly Depot, Enniskillen General for all positions: • All apprentices will be supported by a workplace mentor, who will be their first point of contact. The postholder will be paid monthly into their bank/building society account.
