Wedding Coordinator Role

Salthill Hotel, one of Connacht’s leading Wedding Venues are now recruiting for a Wedding Coordinator.  We are looking for a motivated, passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our wonderfully dynamic Sales team.

Our Sales office is made up of energetic, creative and organised people who collectively deliver the highest levels of customer service from the first point of contact with the customer.

The candidate we are looking for will be an all-rounder with bucket loads of personality, experience in sales, and will have well-honed time management and organisational skills.

This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who is eager to develop their professional and personal skill set in the hospitality industry, surrounded by a team of experts who can train and guide you every step of the way.

Are you:

  • Passionate and enthusiastic?

  • Interested in developing strong relationships with couples and suppliers?
  • Excellent at time management, and prioritising workload?

  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal?
  • Have strong attention to detail?
  • Work well in a fast paced environment?
  • Have sales experience?

*A background in Event management and/or hospitality awareness would be an advantage but not essential.

Overall duties will include:

  • Responsible for timely and professional responses to all new enquiries and managing each stage of the conversion process.
  • Building strong relationships with every couple, at all stages of their planning journey.
  • Listening to, understanding and recording each couple’s individual needs is essential, in order to create a bespoke experience.
  • Working as part of the larger hotel team, effectively communicating each couple’s requirements to all other relevant departments.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and submitting orders in a consistent and timely manner.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to all queries in a professional & timely manner
  • Timely responses to all email queries
  • Database updates, creation of floor plans & table plans
  • To prepare a concise, complete and accurate itinerary for each wedding
  • Show-arounds and meetings with couples, both scheduled and unscheduled
  • Documentation and record keeping
  • Awareness of GDPR
  • Attendance at in-house operations meetings and external trade shows
  • Transparent and honest negotiations with couples and suppliers alike
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, which may include working on other events when requested
