Cleaning Supervisor

Cleaning Properly is part of the Property Group based in Portlaoise Co Laois. The group is made up of Cleaning Properly, Property Properly the market leader in Property Management services in the region and Cloud 9 a leading furniture retailer in the area. An experienced Cleaning Supervisor is now sought by this fast expanding company. You will develop business for Cleaning Properly and manage the cleaning team during this exciting growth phase for the business. You will be based at our Portlaoise office while spending much of your time on the road winning and servicing business and directing and organising the cleaning staff. You are likely to be 80% mobile and 20% office. A full clean driving licence is essential. A company van is provided.

This role would suit someone who gets things done and who has previously managed cleaning operatives. There is a lot of opportunity within the business to progress over the next few years.

Cleaning Services Provided:

Sanitising, Disinfecting, Carpets, Gutters, Deep Cleaning, Power Washing, Waste Removal

We Service:

Offices, Apartment Blocks, Schools, Restaurants, Retailers, Factories, Manufacturing, Commercial Businesses

You will ideally have:

  • A background in commercial cleaning and commercial cleaning products
  • A good working knowledge of Health & Safety, compliance and risk assessments
  • Experience in attending business premises to quote and price for new contracts and prepare information to support the quotations
  • Business Development experience
  • People management experience
  • Knowledge of preparing tenders
  • Experience in meeting with clients to discuss proposals, performance standards etc
  • Contract mobilisation experience to ensure that the cleaning team is organised and prepared to carry out their work
  • Experience in effectively managing any customer issues as they arise

This role would suit somebody who has:

  • Good business acumen
  • Proven strong relationship building / management skills
  • A good understanding of commercial cleaning products and services
  • A knowledge of preparing and implementing service contracts and tenders
  • Excellent customer service and people management skills
