1.5 years in, having engaged over 1million, ran over 200 educational events, built the first national training course in remote and raised 500k, we’re hiring for our first Community Manager

Changing Ireland will take a collective effort and the community manager will be the cornerstone in bringing everyone together.

The role will include:

  • Building and developing the Grow Remote community
  • Supporting chapters and other elements of the community to achieve their goals
  • Onboard and process chapter applications
  • Run events from supporting chapters to growing wider community engagement
  • Work with various stakeholders from chapter leads and teams, to wider community members, other community groups and potential community partners
  • Evangelise remote, representing Grow Remote at events & engagements
  • Build a strategic plan for the growth of the community in line with KPIs and overall impact
  • Living our values on a daily basis
  • Managing of the online elements of community including Slack, internal Wiki, onboarding training course for chapters and some social media elements

The candidate for this role will have:

  • Experience within the Grow Remote Community
  • Experience in community and community development
  • Has experience in digital including basic graphic design, social media management, basic analytics and WordPress
  • Has facilitation and moderation experience

  • Has studied community
  • Has a growth mindset and is empathic, kind and naturally gives first. 
  • Has experience working with volunteers
  • Has excellent communication skills and is highly organised
  • Has demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills 
  • Has experience in remote working and leading remote teams
  • Is willing to do the big and small things with equal conviction: you'll be expected to work strategically but not be afraid to work on the ground
  • Experience operating in a lean environment
  • Has project management experience
  • Has an appreciation for analytics and data


Report to: General Manager

Equipment: We will supply you will the tools you need to do your job well (MacBook Pro, screen, peripherals)
