Academic Clinical Lecturer | Trinity College Dublin

  • 1.0WTE (39 hours)
  • Fixed Term contract (36 months)
  • Funded by Trinity College Dublin
  • Based in The Education & Research Centre in Harold’s Cross

The primary purpose of this position is to provide undergraduate education and training in palliative medicine to Trinity College Dublin (TCD) medical students. The post holder will pursue a research interest leading to a higher degree (PhD or MD), and support the other research activities within the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine.

Essential criteria:

  • Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification accepted as an entry point to higher medical training in Palliative Medicine in Ireland (MRCPI, MRCP, MICGP or MRCGP)
  • Full registration in the General, Specialist or Trainee Specialist register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland (or eligible for such registration)
  • At least one year’s experience in Palliative Medicine or a related specialty at Registrar or Specialist Registrar level
  • 4+ years post graduate experience
  • Experience of providing medical student education and training
