  • Fixed Term duration contract (36 months approx.)
  • Funded by Trinity College Dublin
  • Based in the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine, Education & Research Centre, Harold’s Cross

The primary purpose of this position is to provide undergraduate education and training in palliative medicine to TCD medical students. The post holder will pursue a research interest leading to a higher degree (PhD or MD), and support the other research activities within the Academic Department of Palliative Medicine.

The post holder will engage in undergraduate medical curriculum development, co- ordination and teaching, and will work closely with the University College Dublin / UCD affiliated Clinical Lecturer.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:

Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification accepted as an entry point to higher medical training in Palliative Medicine/other medical specialty.

Full registration in the General, Specialist or Trainee Specialist register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland (or eligible for such registration)

Experience:

  • 3+ years post graduate experience
  • Experience of providing medical student education and training

Desirable Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Palliative Care

Experience:

  • Experience in research
