Accommodation Supervisor

Accommodation Supervisor – Permanent, Full-Time

The successful Accommodation supervisor will be expected to assist the accommodation manager in day-to-day supervision of all staff, to ensure a high standard of hygiene is in place in all areas of the hospital. Background in supervisory and hygiene auditing experiences in a hospital or care settings are an advantage.

Hours of work:

78 hours per fortnight (full-time): mayinclude evenings and weekend work

Responsibilities:

The responsibility of this post will evolve and develop and may include other relevant duties, not currently documented in this job description, which the post holder would be required to undertake, following consultation. The main functions of the role include:

• Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and excellence within the department.
• Ensuring that St John of God Hospital policies and procedures in all aspects of hygiene are adhered to
• Assist in the development, implementation, operation and continual improvement of the quality management and quality assurance activities through continuous quality, environment, health, and safety audits to ensure compliance standards are achieved and action plans are put in place and completed.
• Assist in non-patient portering services.
• Assist in Planning, directing, organising, and managing the Accommodation Department including approved projects within the scope of their role.
• Assist in the supervision, deployment, rostering and recording attendance of the Accommodation Department staff allocated resources.
• The motivation and commitment of all personnel within that department.
• The maintenance of administrative records and documentation.
