Summary

RelateCare is seeking a commercially driven, relationship-first Account & Business Development Manager to grow and retain key healthcare clients. This hybrid role owns assigned post-sale account success and growth and supports the development and success of new logo and pipeline opportunities. You’ll partner with healthcare organizations to improve access, patient engagement and patient outcomes through RelateCare’s service offering. 

Core Objectives:

  • Retain & grow existing accounts through exceptional service and structured expansion plans.
  • Develop new business with target health systems and healthcare partners.
  • Act as voice of the customer internally, shaping solutions and service delivery operations.
  • Key Responsibilities

    Account Management (Existing Clients)

    • Manage portfolio of strategic accounts from onboarding through renewal.
    • Build multi-threaded relationships with senior clinical, operational, and procurement stakeholders.
    • Lead Business Reviews focused on outcomes, service performance, and roadmap alignment.
    • Identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities (new service lines, innovation etc.).
    • Ensure contract adherence, performance, issue resolution, and high CSAT/NPS.
    • Coordinate internal teams (operations, onboarding, business intelligence, continuous improvement, quality and finance) to deliver on client goals.

    Business Development (New Logo Growth)

    • Generate and qualify leads via networking, outreach, events, and partner channels.
    • Run consultative sales discovery to uncover client needs and help design tailored proposals.
    • Manage sales cycle: prospecting → pitch → proposal → negotiation → close.
    • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in customer relationship management tools.
    • Track market/competitor trends across the industry 

    Strategic & Operational

    • Translate client needs into clear internal requirements and improvement plans.
    • Collaborate on case studies and outcomes storytelling.
    • Support pricing, contracting, and RFP/RFI responses.
    • 3–5+ years in account management, customer success, or business development in healthcare, health tech, digital health, business process outsourcing (contact centre) or related B2B services.
    • Experience managing complex stakeholders in healthcare organizations
    • Strong commercial acumen: pricing, negotiation, contract fundamentals.
    • Data-driven mindset; comfort using outcomes and operational metrics to drive decisions.
    • Experience and comfort delivering pitches, public speaking, and networking confidentially.

    Location & Travel

    • Hybrid/Remote within Ireland (within commutable distance to RelateCare HQ in Waterford, Ireland.
    • Travel nationally and internationally up to 20–35% for client meetings, conferences, and events.
    • Flexibility, learning support, and growth opportunities as the company scales.
    Reporting structure
    • Directly reporting to the Director of Business Development.
