About the Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Group Accountant, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, including accounts receivable, reconciliations, customer invoicing, debt follow-up, payments, payroll preparation and management reporting

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and numerical skills, who enjoys working within a busy team environment and wants to continue developing their accounting knowledge and experience with support and exposure to management/financial accounting activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Support accounts receivable/payable processes and reconciliations, ensuring ledgers are kept up to date.

· Complete daily bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies

· Process customer invoices and follow up on outstanding debt in a professional and timely manner

· Process customer payments accurately and maintain appropriate records.

· Complete corporate credit card and charge card transaction processing.

· Assist with the preparation of weekly payroll and associated reporting.

· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for management as required.

· Provide financial, clerical and administrative support to the Finance Team

· Work closely with stakeholders across the wider business.

Essential Criteria

· Minimum of 1 years' experience in a practice, finance or similar office-based rol

· Strong numerical ability, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Office 365.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desirable Criteria

· ATI qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent.

· Payroll CIPP qualification or equivalent or working towards.

· Experience using accounting or ERP systems such as Xero, Dext, Equals Money.

· Experience in management accounts preparation.
