The Role

We are now seeking applications for a position of Accounts Assistant on a fixed term 18 month contract for our Head Office, which is located in Ashbourne Hall on the Dock Road in Limerick. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate, who is interested in working in a busy environment as part of a small team, as well as continuing to develop their skills as a finance professional.

Key Responsibilities:

· Record stock & overhead supplier invoices for multiple cost centres.

· Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and deal with invoice queries.

· Assist with monthly general journals and bank reconciliations.

· Support the Finance Manager with month end processes, management accounts and reports preparation.

• Assist Accounts Payable and Finance Department with other daily tasks

The Person

The following mix of experience and attributes will be required by the successful candidate:

· Previous experience in Accounts or Finance administration

· Good understanding of Accounting Principals

· Strong Numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

· Be proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· An ability to operate in a team environment and be a team player is essential. 

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are important.
