Accounts Administrator (Part-time/Contract)
Full job description
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts Administrator to join our Accounts team to support with day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoice processing and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Ledger: Processing and maintaining our Sales Ledger, posting all sales invoices, lodgements and credit card receipts.
- Purchase Ledger: Processing and maintaining our Purchase Ledger, posting all supplier invoices, credit notes and payments.
- Expense Management: Processing general business expense invoices and business credit card transactions.
- Reconciliations: Performing supplier account reconciliations to ensure all balances are accurate and agree to Supplier Statements. Performing customer account reconciliations to ensure all sales transactions are recorded and agree to lodgements.
- Banking: Processing online bank payments, lodging till takings and verifying credit card receipts. Prepare payment runs and monitor outstanding balances.
- Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all bank accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Vat Returns: Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Payroll Support: Assisting in the collection and processing of staff timesheets for payroll entry.
- Reporting: Generating and distributing daily/weekly reports for various internal departments.
- File Management: Maintain filing systems and support audits and reporting as required.
- General Office Duties: Assisting the management team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role is desirable.
- Experience in payroll, VAT return and Monthy bank rec is necessary.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team.
- AAT qualification would be an advantage.
