Accounts/Payroll Administrator

MH Engineering are mechanical engineering contractors specialising in the fabrication and installation of process and utilities pipe work, building services and installation of mechanical equipment and custom sheet metal design and fabrication.

We are looking for an Accounts/Payroll Administrator to join our team.

Duties to include:

  • Processing invoices for debtors and creditors.
  • Completion of monthly journals on the accounts system.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT filings, and other regulatory reporting.
  • Entering all creditor payments and debtor receipts.
  • Completing and closing out accounts queries including posting credit notes.
  • Bank and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Processing weekly/monthly payroll.
  • Preparing for month end/year end accounts.
  • Record and monitor employee hours on our job management software and reconcile to payroll.
  • Other adhoc duties.

What you need:

  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or related discipline an advantage but not a necessity.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, tax and social insurance regulation desirable.
  • Highly organised and have the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy.
  • Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
