Accounts Technician
Location: TRM, Industrial Estate, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Reporting to: Finance Manager / COO
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Permanent

Role Overview
The Accounts Technician will support the finance function by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to TRM’s operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records including ledgers, journals, and bank reconciliations
- Process purchase invoices, receipts, and payments
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings
- Support payroll processing and expense claims
- Liaise with suppliers, internal departments, and external auditors
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- AAT qualification or equivalent (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Intact Xline, or similar)
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience in manufacturing or inventory-based environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR)
- Understanding of lean finance principles
- Multilingual skills (advantageous in TRM’s multicultural setting)
