Activity Club Coordinator
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) is on a mission: to ensure that people living with dementia, their families, and carers feel valued, supported, and connected in their communities. We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and community-minded Activity Club Coordinator to bring people together for our monthly Alzheimer Social Club at Bessboro Day Care Centre, Blackrock, Cork (T12 HF70).
What’s the role about?
This is not just about making tea and coffee—it’s about creating a welcoming space where people can relax, connect, and feel supported. Once a month, for four hours, you’ll:
• Organise teas, coffees, and light refreshments
• Arrange music, conversation, and simple activities that spark joy
• Provide a friendly point of contact for attendees, ensuring they feel included and supported
• Share information about ASI’s services and signpost families to further supports
What we’re looking for
• A people person who enjoys bringing communities together
• Organised, reliable, and able to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere
• Someone who values dignity, respect, and inclusion for people living with dementia and theircarers
The details
• Commitment: 4 hours, one Saturday per month
• Contract: Permanent, part-time
• Location: Bessboro Day Care Centre, Blackrock, Cork
• Salary: Commensurate with the care sector and dependent on experience
