Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) provide services to children from 0-18 with complex development needs which include physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities and autism. The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland (BOCSI) is the lead agency for CDNT6.

CDNT’s are interdisciplinary teams who work within a Family Centred Practice model and work collaboratively with children, families and other stakeholders to meet goals identified by the family.

CDNT6 covers a vast geographical area including: Galway City East, Claregalway, Gort, Headford and Oranmore.

The Role:

The CDNT6 Administration Officer will have a critical role in the efficient running of administration and overall efficiencies of CDNT6. The successful candidate will work with all members of CDNT6 to ensure a quality and personalised service is delivered to the children and families linked with CDNT. This also extends to external agencies.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • A recognised qualification in secretarial/administration/ ECDL equivalent is essential.
  • Familiarity with the needs of children with developmental delay or disabilities.
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in the area of:

o Administration

o Accounts

o Working as part of a team

o Leading on projects

  • Proficiencies working with Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint) and computer Databases is essential.
  • Experience in managing inquiries; communicating with clarity and discretion.
  • Experience in drafting letters, reports and communications for clinicians or team manager.
  • Organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication with experience in responding to queries from the public, professionals and support services.

Working Hours:

70 hours a fortnight based on a 5 day roster. Flexibility in relation to your hours of work will be required in order to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.

Annual Leave:

28 days per annum.

Remuneration:

Department of Health Grade V (Clerical) salary scale (01/3/2025) - €51,206 x 4 increments - €57,503 (Max) per annum.

LSI 1 €59,375 per annum is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.

LSI 2 €61,253 per annum is payable after a further 3 years.

Tenure:

This post is Permanent, Full-Time and pensionable.

Travel:

The person appointed must provide his/her own car and must furnish an indemnity from Insurers in favour of the employer. Travelling expenses at the appropriate rate will be paid in respect of travel necessarily performed in the discharge of duty. The office base for this post will be Woodlands Campus. This may be subject to change with service developments and needs.
