Administrative Assistant, Admissions Unit

We are recruiting for a permanent part time (17.5 hours per week) Grade IV Administrative Assistant - Admissions Unit. The successful canidate will be expected to work a 24 hour rota. The key responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:

  • To admit all patients via Emergency Department, Out Patients, Elective Admissions and transfers from other hospitals.
  • To liaise with Patient Flow who will provide beds for pre-planned and emergency admissions.
  • To collect in real time and validate all demographic, eligibility and insurance details on every patient admitted to the hospital and ensure that all patients with health insurance are updated on the claimsure system or scanned onto the claimsure system.
