McMahons Builders Providers is part of one of Ireland's leading builders providers, supplying building materials, roofing, timber, plumbing, hardware, insulation, and construction products to trade professionals, contractors, developers, and DIY customers. We have been providing quality building supplies and DIY materials to the trade and public for over 200 years. The group consists of a network of 14 stores across Ireland, as well as a Truss Manufacturing plant and 3 Hardwood & Sheet Material branches. 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrator to join our busy branch in Derry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration in a busy fast passed environment. The working week would be Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 2:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders / Approvals, Stock Receipts, Update Sales Orders and general admin duties  accurately and on time
  • Manage general office correspondence (emails, phone calls, document handling)
  • Maintain files, records, and customer documentation
  • Assist with projects
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Support the team with day-to-day admin tasks
  • Ensure records are organised and compliant with company procedures

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience with BisTrack bespoke software system(training will be provided)
  • Interest / knowledge in construction / building materials
  • Previous admin experience in a manufacturing or construction environment desirable
