Job Objectives
We are seeking applications for the role of a Administrator. The role will involve completing administrational duties in Nua’s Mental Health Services and would typically suit candidates with a keen interest in administration, attention to detail and organisation skills.
This is an excellent role for an Administrator to begin a career within a mental health setting as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
This will include the following on a day-to-day basis:
- To be familiar with and to adhere to all company policies and procedures.
▪ To report any concerns for the safety of our patients in the LSU to your line manager and or other manager within Nua for appropriate address in-line with company policy.
▪ Respect patients and their families showing dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
▪ Maintain the confidentiality of all information made available to him / her during the course of his / her work.
▪ Support patients with mental and emotional issues under the supervision of Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
▪ Support Patients in performing their daily activities.
▪ Provide physical and psychological care to service users in accordance with the specified plan of clinical care.
▪ When directed to do so take support patients with daily activities such as eating, self-care and care of their immediate environment.
▪ When directed to do so observe, monitor and record patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight
▪ Support Patients with therapy and rehabilitation programmes designed to enable patients to work towards their goals for independent living as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
▪ In line with approved plans support patients in attending ward and community events.
▪ To be cognisant of and communicate with qualified nursing staff any concerns around presentation or risk concerns
▪ To support in the overall safe running of the Low Secure Unit.
▪ To support the nursing and catering staff with mealtimes and food preparation on the ward.
Skills Requirement
Knowledge:
-Knowledge of social care or a health-related sector an advantage
Experience:
-1 Years' previous experience in a similar role
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in written communication skills such as report writing.
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Administrative experience.
- Proficient in IT Skills: MS Office
