Advanced Pharmacist Specialist - Haematology Oncology
Purpose of the Role:
· The purpose of this post is to lead on the provision of a high-quality comprehensive service to your area of responsibility by promoting the best clinical, safe, and cost-effective use of medicines, resulting in safer and better outcomes for patients.
· Demonstrate professional leadership within the designated clinical area through effective communication with other clinical practitioners, motivation of staff and challenging barriers to change.
Essential Criteria:
· A Pharmacist registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or be entitled to be so registered.
· Have at least four (4) years post registration hospital experience.
· Possess the requisite specialised knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the role.
· Previous experience of working within Cancer specialties at a senior level.
· Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development and role specific learning.
