The Role:
Join our dynamic team at The Irish Times Group as an Ad Operations Executive and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital advertising landscape.
We are looking for a highly motivated digital advertising operations executive to join our team. The individual will be responsible for the effective setup, management and reporting of digital display and native advertising across multiple sites within The Irish Times Group.
The qualified individual must be able to consistently deliver a high level of service in digital advertising, and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will regularly liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Set up, traffic, and manage digital advertising campaigns across all Irish Times Group platforms using Google Ad Manager, ensuring accurate configuration, pacing stability, and full delivery against booked goals.
- Monitor campaign performance in real time, proactively identifying under-delivery risks, creative issues, tagging discrepancies, or trafficking errors, and implementing optimisations to improve viewability, CTR, and inventory efficiency
- Set up, configure, and maintain BI dashboards in Looker Studio and other analytics tools, ensuring accurate, real-time visibility into campaign performance, pacing, revenue, and inventory.
- Provide clear and actionable performance reporting through screenshots, delivery summaries, pacing insights, and post-campaign analysis for internal sales teams and direct clients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review live campaigns, address delivery or targeting challenges, and recommend optimisation strategies for both current activity and future planning.
- Run inventory availability checks and forecasting, supporting sales with accurate availability data to maximise yield and prevent overbooking.
- Support native advertising campaigns, assisting the publishing executive with promotion, tracking, and reporting to ensure alignment with broader commercial objectives.
Required Skills
- 3+ Years of hands-on experience with ad-serving platforms, ideally Google Ad Manager / GAM 360.
- Strong proficiency in Looker Studio and BI tools, with the ability to design dashboards, blend data, build automated reports, and translate complex datasets into clear insights.
- Demonstrated ability in campaign trafficking, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Excellent data analysis and visualisation skills with proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and external clients.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing multiple deadlines.
- A proactive problem‑solver who takes full ownership of tasks, swiftly resolves issues, and continuously looks for improvements in workflow and campaign performance.
