Preschool General Manager / Afterschool Manager

Longwood Preschool on the Green (Longwood Playgroup Ltd) is looking to recruit a Preschool General Manager / Afterschool Manager with the potential of the successful candidate becoming the full time General Manager of our Preschool facility. We are looking for an experienced Manager, with QQI Level 7 minimum qualification to join our team of childcare professionals for the purpose of re-opening our Afterschool and Breakfast club service in Longwood, Co. Meath.

The applicant should be enthusiastic, ambitious, energetic and most of all have a love for working with children. The person must be a team player but also have the ability to lead by example.

Full-time position: 30 hours per week minimum, Monday to Friday, over 48 weeks of the year. The hours of employment would be from 12 noon to 6pm. The number of hours will increase if the successful candidate is willing to get involved in the running and operation of our ECCE preschool service.

Job Role: To manage and take responsibility for the Afterschool Service, including all administration duties. To assist the current Preschool Manager / Owner in the running and operation of the ECCE Preschool Services, with potentially taking over the General Manager’s role and ensuring the high quality and best practice standards are maintained at the service.

• Promoting the re-opening of the Afterschool and Breakfast Club service through social media, etc.
• Restructuring the running of the Afterschool service
• To act as the Designated Person in charge of the service
