As an AI Governance & Capabilities Specialist you will be responsible for performing testing and reviews of all AI technologies within our Digital & Direct¿s function including but not limited to Genesys related AI features used by PTSB, reporting on AI performance via regular monitoring in line with risk requirements, the assessment of AI capabilities against regulatory compliance obligations and industry best practice, ensuring that any updates to how AI is used by PTSB is identified and communicated to the business teams. This role involves expertise in the use of AI, the AI regulatory compliance environment, reporting and monitoring, identification and escalation of issues and close co-operation with business teams and risk functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in the end¿to¿end management, governance, performance and optimisation of all current and future AI technologies, ensuring it operates reliably, securely, and in alignment with PTSB¿s governance framework.
- Maintain a best¿practice AI governance management framework, overseeing the model lifecycle, risk controls, and proactive oversight of Genesys¿related AI features used across the Digital & Direct function.
- Lead the testing, validation, and performance review of all current and future AI technologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory expectations, internal risk policies, and industry standards and EU AI Act alignment.
- Develop and implement continuous AI monitoring and reporting processes, delivering clear insights on model behaviour, operational performance, and emerging risks to senior stakeholders.
- Drive innovation in AI and data¿driven customer engagement, identifying opportunities to evolve the platform and enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes across all aspects of AI.
- Act as a key liaison between technology, business teams, and risk functions, ensuring transparent communication of AI usage, platform updates, and governance requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience applying a wide range of AI technologies such as large language models, conversational AI, advanced analytics, speech¿based or automation solutions and knowledge bases structures, combined with a strong understanding of the associated risk, governance, and regulatory compliance obligations that accompany the use of AI across enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to interpret data, extract actionable insights and be able to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience in machine learning, AI, or a related field.
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and project management
This is a permanent role based in BlackRock (Onsite).
