The Opportunity
The AI Governance and Value Manager plays a pivotal role in enabling responsible, scalable, and value-driven AI adoption across the enterprise. This role combines strategic governance with hands-on engagement to ensure AI initiatives are aligned with business priorities, deliver measurable benefits, and adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
Use Case Management & Value Realisation:
- Manage the AI use-case intake funnel, ensuring ideas are captured, evaluated, and progressed through the pipeline.
- Track and report on benefits realisation, highlighting business impact and communicating success stories across the organisation.
- Maintain visibility across Data Squads to ensure alignment and progress.
- Jointly oversee the AI engineering team responsible for delivering selected AI solutions, ensuring alignment with governance standards and value-driven outcomes.
Business Engagement & Ideation
- Facilitate ideation sessions and workshops with business units to uncover high-value AI opportunities.
- Act as a catalyst for innovation, helping teams translate business challenges into AI-enabled solutions.
- Support prioritisation and readiness of use cases for development and deployment
- Continuously scan the horizon to understand where other organisations are getting value from AI and identify similar opportunities within Glanbia
Collaboration & Enablement
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AI governance and value delivery, guiding teams on best practices and strategic alignment.
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business leaders to ensure consistent and effective AI adoption.
- Work closely with the AI Strategy and Architecture lead to ensure governance and value frameworks support the broader AI vision.
Governance & Policy Ownership
- Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards aligned with enterprise data and AI strategies.
- Lead reporting and engagement with Data Councils, ensuring transparency and accountability across AI initiatives.
- Oversee compliance with ethical AI principles, regulatory obligations, and data privacy requirements.
- Work closely with the AI Strategy and Architecture lead to align governance and operations with overall AI strategy.
- Coordinate risk assessments and model lifecycle governance in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders.
Operationalisation of AI:
- Translate AI governance frameworks into actionable processes and controls across business units.
- Establish metrics and dashboards to track AI solution performance, accuracy, fairness and reliability.
- Support the deployment and monitoring or AI models in production environments.
- Collaborate with business teams to coordinate the delivery of prioritised AI use cases.
- Provide technical and operational guidance to ensure consistent adoption of AI practices.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology), or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in AI Governance, Responsible AI, or Data Ethics (e.g., IAPP’s AIGP certification) are highly desirable
Professional Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in roles related to:
- AI/ML, data governance, analytics, or digital transformation.
- Delivering AI governance frameworks and operationalising AI solutions across business units.
- Proven track record in:
- Managing AI use-case pipelines and benefit realisation.
- Facilitating ideation workshops and translating business needs into AI opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, and Engineering
Technical and Strategic Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- AI lifecycle management, model governance, and MLOps practices.
- Ethical AI principles, regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU AI Act), and data privacy laws.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms and tools such as Azure ML, SAP AI features, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Ability to assess feasibility and impact of AI use cases from both technical and compliance perspectives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Experience in:
- Leading or co-managing AI engineering teams delivering enterprise AI solutions.
- Influencing stakeholders and aligning AI initiatives with strategic goals.
- Acting as a governance ambassador across business units and forums
Value & Impact Orientation
- Skilled in:
- Tracking and communicating benefits realisation of AI solutions.
- Developing dashboards and metrics to monitor AI performance and business impact.
- Driving adoption of AI governance standards and reporting to Data Councils

AI & Advanced Analytics Solution Design and Oversight
Designs and maintains end-to-end architectures for AI and complex analytics solutions (e.g., data ingestion, feature engineering, model training and deployment), ensuring alignment with business needs and enterprise architecture standards.
AI & Advanced Analytics Architecture Advisory
Provides architectural oversight to ensure AI and complex analytics solutions are robust, scalable, and explainable; evaluates technical requirements for AI and complex analytics solutions against data availability and implementation complexity.
Model Operationalisation (MLOps)
Supports the build of robust pipelines for model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management using MLOps practices.
AI / ML Platform & Tooling Expertise
Provides technical guidance on AI / ML platforms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Azure ML) to guide solution development and optimises their use.
