EXPERIENCED DELI ASSISTANT – DUNDALKWe are looking for a skilled, dependable Deli Assistant to join our friendly team in a busy café and deli located in a Dundalk retail park.This position would suit someone with genuine hands-on deli experience who takes pride in preparing quality food, enjoys working with customers and can remain organised during a busy service.THE POSITION<ul><li>Between 3 and 5 days per week</li><li>Rota operates from Tuesday to Sunday</li><li>Shorter Sunday opening hours: 10:30 am–5:00 pm</li><li>Permanent, on-site position</li><li>Immediate start available</li></ul>WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING<ul><li>Preparing fresh sandwiches, wraps, salads and hot food</li><li>Setting up and maintaining an attractive, well-stocked deli counter</li><li>Serving customers in a friendly and efficient manner</li><li>Managing food preparation during busy service periods</li><li>Following HACCP, food-safety, hygiene and allergen procedures</li><li>Monitoring stock levels, rotation, freshness and waste</li><li>Keeping all preparation, service and storage areas clean</li><li>Supporting the wider café team when required</li></ul>WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR<ul><li>At least one year of recent deli, café or busy food-service experience</li><li>Confident preparing both cold and hot food</li><li>Reliable, punctual and committed to scheduled shifts</li><li>Comfortable working at pace without compromising quality</li><li>Strong food-hygiene and cleanliness standards</li><li>Friendly and professional with customers</li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>HACCP or recognised food-safety training is desirable</li><li>A recent employment reference will be required</li></ul>WHAT WE OFFER<ul><li>Between 3 and 5 working days per week</li><li>Complimentary staff food while working</li><li>Free on-site parking in the retail park</li><li>Supportive, friendly working environment</li><li>Stable, permanent local employment</li></ul>HOW TO APPLYPlease submit your CV together with short answers to the following questions:<li>How much recent deli or hot-food-counter experience do you have?</li><li>What days and hours are you available between Tuesday and Sunday?</li><li>Can you work regularly on Sundays from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm?</li><li>Do you have HACCP or food-safety training?</li><li>When can you start?</li><li>Can you provide a recent hospitality or food-service reference?</li>
