We are searching for the best talent for the 4 years Apprentice Maintenance Technician role to be based in Cork, Ireland.

Purpose: This role will join the Cork engineering group as part of the site Maintenance Team that supports the Knees, Hips and Shoulder markets. Collaborating with the maintenance team leader and working with a dedicated mentor, you’ll complete assigned maintenance activities while progressing through the apprenticeship program helping keep equipment reliable, production on schedule, and quality standards met!

As an Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you will:

  • Perform routine and non-routine electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs to support continuous manufacturing operations and minimize downtime.

  • Carry out the preventative maintenance programme to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned interruptions.

  • Support engineering development activities and work with multi-functional teams to complete projects and equipment changes.

  • Identify and contribute cost and technical improvements through the department’s continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency.

  • Follow GMP and SOP requirements and provide timely, accurate reporting on maintenance and project activities.

  • Liaise with suppliers and help source spare parts and materials to ensure maintenance tasks proceed without delay.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Leaving Certificate with a pass in Math and English.

  • Proven eagerness to learn and a clear dedication to completing the apprenticeship program.

  • Interest in electrical and mechanical activities and basic hands-on or practical proficiency.

  • Flexible, collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works well with mentors and colleagues.

  • Methodical, performance- and results-focused with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow GMP and SOP processes.

  • Commitment to safe, environmentally responsible work practices and accurate documentation of your activities.

The anticipated pay range and benefits for this position is:

€24,700
