About your role:

Your mission is to help us mend it by diving headfirst into the world of Plumbing. Age? Gender? Background? Just numbers & stories that make you, you. We’re here for your drive, your passion, & that fire in your eyes.

During your apprenticeship, you’ll absorb the wisdom, grasp the skills, & earn the qualifications to emerge as a top-tier Heating Engineer – a true household hero. Under the wing of our experienced engineers, you’ll soon learn how to deliver energy efficient solutions to our customers through maintaining or upgrading their plumbing systems, whilst working with green innovations such as heat pumps, smart heating controls & solar thermal technology.

Don’t be fooled, this isn’t your average gig; it’s a hands-dirty, heads-down role. But it is one like no other. You’ll be at the heart of delivering energy-saving systems that make a real difference; helping families save money, stay warm, & live better every single day.

Here's what we’re looking for:

• Minimum of five passes at leaving certificate level (must include English & Mathematics)

• A genuine passion for learning a trade, striving for a successful career & providing awesome customer service

• A driving licence is not required to begin the apprenticeship; however, you must be willing & able to obtain one during the programme to be eligible to progress into a Heating Engineer role.

• Availability to attend training at a SOLAS training centre, & flexibility to travel & stay away from home for work assignments across the country, with accommodation & travel provided if needed.

• Must be able to fulfil the physical requirements of the role, i.e. able to bend, stretch, kneel & crouch, as well as be comfortable working at height & in confined spaces – you’ll also be expected to carry or lift heavy items such as boilers, Heat Pumps, radiators, solar panels, plumbing components, & work related equipment.

Here’s what's in it for you:

• You’ll gain a QQI Advanced Level 6 Craft Certificate in Plumbing

• Starting salary of €15,531 rising to €23,049 at 1 year, €34,573 at 2 years, & €41,487 after 3 years of your apprenticeship, with other add ons on top.

• We’re committed to your growth. Throughout your apprenticeship, we’ll invest in your development to help you work towards becoming a Heating Engineer. As you near completion, we’ll support you in maximising your chances of securing a permanent role - & for those who succeed, our support continues as you progress towards becoming a fully qualified Gas Engineer.
